Choosing Instrument Trays and Cassettes
Investing in the right instrument cassettes or trays not only enhances surgery workflow and instrument organisation, it also significantly improves infection control as well as increasing longevity of instruments by protecting them from damage or loss.
When choosing an instrument cassette or tray, each practice will have their own preferences and favourite styles, but each option must allow for clear organisation and identification, appropriate storage post-reprocessing and sterilisation as well as allowing practices to pre-build chairside kits tailored to each procedure.
Perfection Plus have a wide range of trays and cassettes to suit all requirements, with each manufactured from durable, high grade stainless steel offering the ideal balance of quality, longevity and value for money.
With multiple options available, we have broken down the features and benefits of each of the products available from Perfection Plus.
ErgoPLUS Clip Trays have a fixed and hinged locking arm for maximum safety, simplicity and security.
The fixed locking arm unclips for easy access, then simply and securely clips once loaded so instruments are held securely in place. Grooved inserts perfectly hold hand instruments and allow for easy selection.
Manufactured from stainless steel with a sleek polished finish, ErgoPLUS Clip Trays are offered with medical grade blue silicone grooved inserts as standard, with 5 or 10 instrument options.

Mesh Cassettes are manufactured from corrosion resistant stainless with a distinct mesh hole design that allows for open access, ensuring improved cleaning and sterilisation and are ideal for washer/disinfectors.
Grooved silicone inserts store up to 20 hand instruments and hold them firmly and securely in place.
Another option is silicone matting which gives maximum flexibility, allowing the user to place larger instruments such as rubber dam punches, scissors and extraction forceps which ordinarily don’t fit into an instrument cassette.
Sold in five sizes holding between 5 and 20 instruments, Mesh Cassettes are offered with blue silicone as standard.

Push Bar Instrument Trays are a great choice for simple and secure instrument selection.
The hinged push bar arm can be easily removed to allow for clear view of all instruments, before clicking simply into place, helping to reduce the risk of sharps injuries.
Push Bar Instrument Trays offer a wide variety of size options from 3 to 10 instruments.
Silicone inserts available in range of 6 colours: Blue, Green, Grey, Red, White or Yellow.
Stainless Steel Instrument Cassettes have hole pattern that allows for excellent access and more open areas.
Ergonomic latch with locking mechanism allows for comfortable single-handed opening.
Available in sizes holding 5, 10 or 20 Instruments, in Blue or Green colours.

Holding up to 8 instruments, these cassettes are deeper than standard cassettes to hold larger handled elevators.
Elevator Cassettes contain specific grooves to hold the handles and thinner tips and are available in blue silicone.
By choosing the right tray or cassette for your practice, it can help create a faster, safer and more organised work environment, protecting not only the instruments, but also users and patients alike.
